I feel in my heart that I need to address this issue of dispensation. There is no difference between salvation for a Jew or a Gentile. Salvation can and will only be achieved through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ for all peoples including the Jews. In Romans chapter 11 the apostle Paul was trying to tell us that the Jews were hardened in part so that our Lord would be able to make His appointment for us on the cross. Notice that Paul says in part. Not all of the Jews had to be hardened, some of them had hard hearts already. What Paul was trying to say is that the Jews are not cut off from God’s grace, as some say they are.
God has been, and will continue to redeem the precious Jewish people through His Son Jesus Christ. No thanks to the pastors and teachers who patronize the Jewish people and tell them that they are the chosen people of God and He will deal with them in a "mysterious way". I as a Gentile believer have no right to boast against a Jew who has been cut off for his blindness to the Messiah. What I do have is an obligation to Jewish people to convey to them that Jesus is our Messiah. As a matter of fact He was their Messiah before He was mine. Paul makes it clear that if they do not continue in their unbelief they will be grafted in again. If we as believers deny them the right to believe in Christ by telling them that merely, by their genealogy, they are the chosen of God, we are denying that which Christ died for. The right to redeem His people Jew and Gentile through faith in His atonement for our sins on the cross.
The apostle Paul’s statement that all Israel would be saved is a reference to the heavenly Israel of God which presently exists in the heavens and the only people who will be allowed in this country are those who have been saved by faith in Jesus Christ. That was the promise made to the father of our faith Abraham. Hebrews 11:13-16, Galatians 6:16. The Jewish people have a right to salvation in Christ Jesus and to enter into that country in heaven that was promised to Abraham.
Hebrews 9:15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance--now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.
Can you not see that as God offers the fullness of Christ to the Gentiles, He is provoking the Jews to also receive the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 1:23, 3:19, 4:13, Romans 11:12 Our Lords goal is to redeem His people the Jews by His shed blood on the cross. We as believers have to ignore many clear scriptures to believe otherwise.
John 3:3 "Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God".
John 3:18 " He who believes is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God".
John 8:24 " Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins".
John 14:6 " I am the way , the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through Me".
All of these commands were spoken by Jesus to the Jews and apply to all. Did the apostles agree?
Acts 4:12 " Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name given among men by which we must be saved".
Acts 15:11 " But we (Jews) believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus we shall be saved in the same manner as they". (Gentiles)
Galatians 2:9 " and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised".
And many more scriptures we could examine that clearly say the Jews and Gentiles will be saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and that alone. Paul uses the word mystery in Romans 11:25 and he also uses this same word in Ephesians 3:3. The mystery in Romans is that the Jews will be saved through Jesus Christ and the mystery in Ephesians is that the Gentiles will be saved through Jesus Christ. The answer to both of these mysteries is in the next verses.
Ephesians 2:16-18 "and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father."
Galatians 3:29 " And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Now can we continue the command of our Lord Jesus Christ recorded in Luke at any cost.
Luke 24:47 " and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."
